Well, hello there!

So happy you stopped by to see how Fresh Coast Social came to fruition!

My idea of starting “something” to help others with this giant online space of today, came to me while sitting in a beautiful café in Las Vegas.

Hello, my name is Hilary Elmore

I am and always have been a BIG dreamer and do-er, who has a love for business owners…especially those in the beauty industry.

Life takes us in many directions.. Just a month before this picture was taken, I closed my salon, finished a wonderful career as a hairstylist of 20 years, and finished college with a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. I LOVED my career as a stylist! I was beyond humbled to have worked with such talented individuals in the industry all while meeting wonderful clients along my journey. You may ask, “Why did I give it up if I loved it so much? Well, my husband, son, and I were in a terrible car accident four years prior to this picture and thankfully we all, including the other driver, were ok. However, I did not fare so well in the outcome. I had gashed my head pretty badly and messed up my right shoulder which required a lot of PT. This unfortunately was what lead to the end of my career as a hairstylist. I’m doing much better today (thank god,) but with the daily grind of doing hair and constant motion of my arms up all day… it sadly became physically too hard for me to continue.

College, on the other hand, was interesting while being a mother to a teen boy, being a wife, and working full-time in the salon.  I did really well though, but I knew I was ready to get started with “something” online that would make a big impact for those with businesses through social media. I felt I had the creativity and drive to really make a difference and well, develop long-lasting relationships with those whom I would be working with. Lord knows I love people, being creative, and helping those in the beauty business, and wouldn’t have it any other way.

This is what pushed me to start Fresh Coast Social

As soon as the Vegas trip was over and I got back home to (Michigan), I received a phone call from a friend who asked me to come to work for her company. She said I would be so wonderful and nice addition to their business. So I thought, why not? I should give it a shot! Even though I had other plans for my future but as I said in the beginning, "Life takes us in many directions.”  I worked for a tech company that provided homecare software systems for home care agencies. I know…complete 360 from the beauty industry. LOL!

As soon as I got there, I started in sales and quickly moved to the department of Marketing/Social Media Management/Community Engagement Specialist. Way more suitable for me. I would not only create, curate, organize and schedule their content, but I wrote blog posts, created email campaigns, conducted interviews with agency owners, did a deep dive into market/target audience research, and ran audit and analytics reports, all while performing many other BIG tasks that needed to be done.

It was then that I realized how much I missed having full-on creativity in my work and I that I truly missed those in the beauty industry! I spent 2 years learning the ropes of real-time Marketing/Social Media Management while realizing the undeniable potential and value that social media brings to all businesses, especially to the online beauty and aesthetics space. THIS is the future and without a social media presence, I know that businesses will suffer and possibly become irrelevant. That is not an option when I KNOW I have the knowledge and expertise to help.

Creating a brand and social presence is a vital part if you want to grow your beauty business. I would be ecstatic, to help you, the beauty/aesthetics owner grow and expand your business through social media.
